Marisa Gomez is a soon-to-be graduate of Fordham Law School, a voter rights activist, and Miss Greater New York. This is her first time competing with the Miss America Organization and she has dedicated her year to fighting voter disenfranchisement, delivering civics presentations to NYC students, and providing accessible election information to the public. Marisa specifically works to encourage political engagement of people of color, who are often denied equal access to the ballot. After law school, Marisa hopes to be a Trusts and Estates attorney and continue fighting for voter rights through her pro bono work.
